Emmalyse Brownstein

Emmalyse Brownstein is a freelance writer and journalist who spent three years as a Wall Street reporter at Business Insider, where she covered finance, banking culture, and careers across some of the biggest names on the Street. Her reporting has appeared in Business Insider, McClatchy newspapers, Wine Spectator, Miami New Times, and Yahoo Finance, among others. She also spent a summer copyediting news wire stories at The New York Times.

Before breaking into finance journalism, Emmalyse cut her teeth covering arts, culture, and local news in South Florida, and served as editor-in-chief of Distraction Magazine at the University of Miami. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Miami.
